ME

sunday scribblings says...

me me me, write a post about me??!
maybe about me love for me very special family?
you see, they're a very big part of who is me
Or how About me love for varied musicality?
from soulful Ella to me funky black eyed peas
What About me love for dancing around so free?
could be anything from zumba to the tango for me
How About me love for Me sweet little doggies?
Mr. yappy comso and fat-ass miss Molly
Or me heart full of love for all me special buddies?
who describe me as compassionate and kind yet very funny
Maybe write of me passion for peace, humanity and mercy?
I KNOW!.... about Me love to attempt such masterful poetry!

Horizon

Day is visited by darkness, didn't notice it arrive
My vibrant colors are squashed into wistful faded blues
my heart is weighted weary by its disillusioned mood
darkness stifles joy, inhibits me from feeling alive
I Drift into slumber, hoping it alters the mood I will arise in
Eyes shut tight shadows the darkness of day, breath whispers rhythmic weeping
I dream of euphoric colors dancing inside me again, as I lay sleeping
Awakened, quietly aware my bright colors may return...over tomorrows new horizon

Competition

I am not at all competitive. I love playing board games, but I love them just as much whether I win or lose. ( In my house, I'm just so happy if someone agrees to play with me! Wah! ) So theSunday Scribblings prompt this week, led my very congested brain in another direction....

Each competing for my dire attention
day by day by relentless day
each cramp my brains limited retention
causing me guilt for their dismay
I used to love to pamper them all
gave extra care in the spring and fall!
Now my efforts have somehow lost their groove
lackluster they give me no inspiration
Maybe I'll abandon them all! Just move!
No, I don't possess that determination
I guess I just have to deal with these demanding BORES
Even though I'd rather take a walk on the beach
I guess I just have to do my humdrum household chores
Can you Pass me the toilet-bowl brush and the bleach?
