blogging. I am lucky enough to already fall into that category. My new friend Jenny visited my blog back in the summer. We just seemed to hit it off! I now consider her a special friend and I think we will be E-pals forever.
In the last hour I have just visited several blogs that I have discovered through Scribblings. My hope is to have loyal readers of my blog and to be loyal to as many as I can handle in my crazy life. Sometimes when you leave a comment, The blogger will come visit you and politely reciprocate. Sometimes, they don't.
Let's face it, We aren't writing for just our own enjoyment or we would use an old fashioned notebook or start a file in word.
We are looking for the interaction with others. As I partake in Scribblings, hope I can connect with many nice people.

welcome to blogging! Thanks for stopping by my SS post today! I will be sure to visit you more often.
Jennifer :)
You're a sweetie, Lucy. An amazing sweetie. I'm honored to be mentioned front and center in your blog! Happy the day I stumbled on your essay contest last summer. xoxox,Jenny
I agree that blogging is a great experience! I love waking up to find comments offering encouragement, support and friendship on my blog, and of course that makes you want to reciprocate. And for me to SS has let me connect with many interesting and wonderful bloggers. Lovely post!
Love your post, Lucy! I agree completely with you. Half the fun for me is "surfing" for new blogs that really resonate with me. Fortunately, my favorite list is becoming long because there are so many wonderful, interesting and witty bloggers out there. Have a wonderful weekend!!
thanks so much everyone! I'm so happy you commented.
Like Kamsin said , I WAS so excited to wake up to all these new kind words. I look forward to visiting all of you too!
I've only just found SS myself but must admit the embrace has been most warm and inviting.
Nothing like an audience to inspire a writer huh? Write on Lucy!
I just love the folks I have met over here. You're in a good place!
I agree - blogging and myspace and all of those tools are ways for people to communicate with one another. I always think of a blog as a little slice of someone's life - you're welcome to have a read, have a think and leave or comment. Some blogs I just read and the people have no idea I am part of their blogging life.
Someone should write a PhD on blogging!
Cheers, Lucy! I'll be back!
Welcome to what I think of as the Blogging Community! I started in January, and can only say it's been the most life-enhancing new experience this year... well, one of them, at least! And Sunday Scribblings and Poetry Thursday are just wonderful for offering focus and connection.
I've only been blogging a few months and often feel ambivalent about the whole thing- but whenever someone tells me they blog for themselves my lie detector blinks like mad. If that were true they'd type into a word file. That being said, there are a lot of "all about me" blogs out there- so I guess I have no idea what I'm talking about. I blog because I'm arrogant enough to think someone may want to read what I wrote. We all should be that arrogant!
