A dream within a dream

Does anyone out there know how to interpret dreams? I have been experiencing some really bizarre, puzzling dreams.
On many nights I have been dreaming about babies. The bizarre thing is, I am always being neglectful of the baby. I am going about my different activities, and all of a sudden, it's like the light bulb goes off and I remember I have a baby who has not been changed or fed or held! I'm not sure if it is one of my own babies or if I am watching someone's baby. It's very disturbing and I always wake feeling very upset. One night I had a similar one about puppies.
( baby dogs). This one was more horrific because unlike the babies who are soiled, hungry and upset- These puppies were totally forgotten about in my basement. After the whole summer went by I finally remembered them and when I ran downstairs to rescue them they had disintegrated and only Huge golden powder puffs of fur were blowing around like tumble weeds! It was like a horror movie! I woke up from this one terrified! My husband thought I was influenced by that horrible scene in the movie Superman Returns, where one dog eats another. I had watched that movie a few nights before the dream. That doesn't explain the numerous forgotten baby dreams. My girlfriend thinks it means that I have way too much on my mind and I have been very forgetful, so I am worried I may forget something important. I'm not sure she is right. I am wondering If I am the baby? Am I feeling I don't take good care of myself? I do feel dreams are important puzzle pieces, illustrating what we are feeling subconsciously. What do you think? What crazy dreams do you repeatedly have? I would really love to understand these dreams. But, for tonight, I am hoping to forget them and just sleep like a baby.

Have you taken on a big responsibility lately. I know when I first started back to work after maternity leave. I would dream I forgot my daughter places. Even in the car on the side of the highway. I was always very upset when I woke up.

Lately I'm having horrific dreams every couple of nights about little speedy getting into peanuts (she's very allergic) and there is always something preventing me from helping her. My husband had to wake me up the other night because I was crying out and wasn't waking up.

No wonder we get grey hair:)

Good morning Lucy! There must be something going around because I've been having bad dreams lately with the same reoccurring theme. In fact, I told my best friend last week that I didn't want to go to sleep because I knew I was going to have another one :(

OK, as for you...I'm no expert but I do record and study my dreams. I did a little research for you :))

If you have a baby in a dream that you do not recognize, the baby represents you. To see a baby in your dream, signifies innocence, warmth and new beginnings. Babies may symbolize something in your own inner nature which is pure, vulnerable, and/or uncorrupted. Babies may represent an aspect of yourself that is vulnerable and helpless. If you dream that you forgot you had a baby, then it suggests that you are trying hide your own vulnerabilities; You do not want to let others know of your weaknesses. To dream about a starving baby, represents your dependence on others. You are experiencing some deficiency in your life that needs immediate attention and gratification.

Houses in dreams represent our physical selves. A basement is the first room built. The foundation. To dream that you are in a basement, symbolizes your unconscious mind and intuition. The appearance of the basement is an indication of your unconscious state of mind and level of satisfaction. To dream that the basement is in disarray and messy, signifies some confusion in which you need to sort out. It may also represent your perceived faults and shortcomings.

To see a dog in your dream, indicate a skill that you have ignored or forgotten, but needs to be activated. Alternatively, dogs may symbolize intuition, loyalty, generosity, protection, and fidelity. Your own values and intentions will enable you to go forward in the world and succeed. If the dog is vicious and/or growling, then it signifies some inner conflict within yourself. It may indicate betrayal and untrustworthiness. If the dog is dead or dying, then it indicates a loss of a good friend.

I think it is "just" an anxiety dream. I still dream that I'm going to miss the school bus, can't find my school books, etc!

Jane is quite accurate with her interpretation! My intuition tells me there is something new in your life that you are neglecting. It’s either a new way of thinking, a new path your taking, or should be taking, could be a new health issue, or a new person. It’s a huge spectrum and only you know! Try to get to the bottom of it. Your dreams are clearly hounding you to pay attention to it! Good luck!
