panic
scheme
My water district claims it's won yearly best taste awards
"OH, Our water surpasses towns close by and out of reach!"
I panic that theirs is a scheme of deception lies and fraud
As I pour a tall glass with floating debris and the distinct taste of bleach
I wrote this quick poem because even though my water in NO way looks or tastes as bad as this photo depicts, I DO feel worried that the taste has changed recently and I am concerned for my families safety. I tried changing water jugs. We are always hearing so much about the toxicity of plastics. We used to use plastic containers and now I found really perfect glass jugs that even have a cap. I love them and I swear they may have helped the problem a little, but I am still tasting the bleach. Wish I could show u a pic of my new jugs (that doesn't sound right) but my computer is still down and I wouldn't know how to upload photos on this one.
I also plan on researching which types of filters have the best rating and having a plumber come install it. I have to get the type that goes under the sink because my kitchen faucet is the kind that pulls out of the holder as a sprayer too. If any one has a recommendation, I would love to hear about it!

I find water from the tap tates better with a shot of vodka in it. That's my recommendation.
Thanks for telling Keith off for posting that nonsense about me on his blog. I got him to delete the offending section and I kept a copy of your lovely comment and so did he because he obviously had to had to delete that too
wow we are usually alerted by taste and smell to a higher content of Chlorine too....but I never hear others talk about it. Right now with all the cold weather and snow the water is so scrumptious right from the tap...We are all enjoying it so much, wish I could say the same in the dry summer!Sorry I can't help you with the filter thing, I don't use one!

For golsake - why would you think the 'powers' aren't telling the truth? Silly girl. LOL Well-written post - I just keep sucking in the chlorine...But I am dying to know what Keith said about sweet Rosey. Laughing.
I have a 200 year old well. who the hell knows what i'm drinking. alcohol sterilizes everything though. My daughter at one time was on a BRITA kick but it didn't last very long.
i like how you use all the words in one sentence. i would also be paranoid about water tasting different.. especially if it tasted like bleach!
We've had some scare stories about water supplies in the UK, although in the main it isn't too bad. I remember, about 15 years ago I think, something was put in the water in one area that made a lot of people ill - in some cases, hair turned green!
Don't ask me how.
I don't even like to think about it! The smell is what alerted my mom to a problem with her water - that the city failed to notify anyone about. She only uses bottled water now.
