I was at home alone when she called. The tenderness in her voice gave me hope that this time it would not end in heartache and despair. I got a little misty and wistful thinking about how desirable she still was to me. Though forgiveness was not in my nature, I found myself at the mercy of her touching comments and soulful, sensual whispers.
