I found the following cool link at looseleafnotes blog.
I would never have imagined that I would fall into the category of a 'left sided' thinker (math and science are on this side of our brains!).... but according to the following link- I am a lefty.
left brain right brain
Since I have an absolutely blank brain on this weeks scribblings prompt (but I hate skipping a week and I love hearing from you)..... I will just ask you to visit this link and see which side dominates you. This is kind of like stealing some ones else's homework.. but remember... I am in vacation mode i.e.- lazy, relaxed, brain dead.
oooh- just found this... Once you know if you're right or left go Here and see more characteristics AND what occupation you would be good at! Geeez I could have been a Bacteriologist! If only.
oooh again... I found another test below..... Again my score is left-brained, maybe I SHOULD enroll is bacteriologist school?
Brain Lateralization Test Results |
Right Brain (30%) The right hemisphere is the visual, figurative, artistic, and intuitive side of the brain. Left Brain (64%) The left hemisphere is the logical, articulate, assertive, and practical side of the brain |

updated at 4 pm My brain is now awake. I thought of another good L/R tip.
For any one out there trying to teach their young ones their left from right.. Here's a tip that worked for my kids
Put your hands straight out in front of you... The thumb and index finger that makes an L shape- That's your Left hand!
Maybe everyone already knows this tip ,but If not... Hope it helps a child. :))

38% right, 54% left
This result makes sense to me as I am rather articulate and practical [you may have noticed :-)] but also seem to be developing my intuitive side as I get older. Good food for thought on this one Lucy.
Apparently, I am right brained. I guess I'll accept it. (Especially how I've just ripped on my lefty boy!)
Hi Lucy,
Here's my results:
Right Brain |||||||||| 40%
Left Brain |||||||||||||| 58%
Interesting!!
xoxo, Jen
Fabulous post my dear!! I am
Right brain ||||||||||52%
Left Brain |||||||34%
Not at all surprising! Very fun to do this little test! Thanks Lucy! Are you sure you can handle Germ school? lol
Now where were you when I couldn't remember my left from right all these years! Such a good teacher Miss, Left Brain!
Love ya Sherrie

Wait a minute, where the hell is the rest of my brain then? hmmmm....lost in space?
haha! I GUESS SO!I am functioning on 86 percent of my brain...poor me!
Must be the mental pause!
Hugs Sherrie
I'm right about with you on the percentages. I'll have to re-take the test in another year to see if retired life changes me. I'm guessing, not by much. The dancer on Loose Leaf Notes was fun too. I saw counterclockwise only the first visit, then after reading some blog posts & commenting, I went back. Now, only clock-wise. Interesting! Thanks for visiting & commenting on my blog.
Thanks for posting this Lucy. I plan on doing a post on it on my blog and I'll link back to you. My girls and I have had a fun afternoon taking the tests. They are left dominant, but only by a little; I am very left dominant, by over 80%!
Interesting links and I love the clue for deciding which is left and which is right by the shape of the thumb and index finger. Neat!
Seems like I am half and half, where does that leave me? Balanced I hope. I love the fingers tip too, never seen that one before, no. Thank you.
Fun test, Lucy ... I'm split down the middle, apparently I have "fairly Equal Hemispheres" ... which, considering I'm open to looking at things many different ways, is probably fairly accurate. Hope you had a great weekend! Peace & love, JP/deb
p.s. I'm sure you'd make a great bacteriologist!
Hey there, it's me again. I tagged you at my site, hope you wont mind, you dont have to play, no pressure, thought it would be fun though. Thanks.
I had a teacher in school who couldn't remember left from right, so she wore her rings in a pattern to help her remember. We gave her gloves at the end of the year with "L" and "R" on them! (I'm definitely left brained, but learning to be right brained because of an accident)
